Rio is a new stunning silk maxi kaftan with black flat disc sequins decorating the neckline and cuffs. Semi sheer, this beautiful silk kaftan can be worn over swimwear or wear with a black slip dress as a resort wear dress. The sequins and silk ties are black so you can style this with either silver or gold for a super stylish vibe. The one size truly fits from Small through to XLarge.

The length from waist to floor is 100cm 40 inch. Hemline has been left plain which can be shortened.

The waistband is elasticated allowing all sizes up to xl to wear this maxi kaftan. The sleeves are bloused.

The V neckline is super flattering and the v back has tied on the shoulders to draw in, if you are a smaller frame.

Fabric & Care

100% Silk excluding crystals

We recommend hand washing silk designer beach coverups in lukewarm water using a non-biological powder or liquid for any silks with beading or crystals on, to preserve the detail and quality of our silk clothes.

Lukewarm means you can easily keep your hands fully in the water, if you can not the water is too hot. Prepare the water before adding your garment.

When hand washing silk crepe, wash in lukewarm water by dipping not soaking. Rinse in cold water. Colour will only run if you have used hot water over 40* and if you have used a biological detergent which may contain a stain removing or bleaching agent.

Remove excess water and then hang dry immediately, always reshape whilst damp. Test any stain removers on the inside of coloured fabrics first. We suggest gentle baby wipes to gently remove stains, always test first. If you are washing your items on holiday, please rinse and drip dry in the shower and dry in the shade as direct sunlight may reduce the colour on the wet garment.

For best results iron when slightly damp using a steam iron. Avoid ironing on necklines or areas with crystals. You can also use a handheld steamer to press your silk crepe kaftan or dress back to shape.

Black silk maxi kaftan named Rio by Lindsey Brown resort wear is a beautiful new black semi sheer silk maxi kaftan perfect for your next luxury holiday. Matt black silk is contrasted with a variety of small to large black disc sequins that decorate the neckline and cuffs. Taking inspiration from our signature luxury silk kaftans our Manhattan and Acapulco resort wear, the Rio maxi kaftan is a highly requested addition to our collection, as we have created a silk maxi kaftan due to popular requests from ladies wanting a beautiful full length black silk maxi kaftan.

Rio maxi kaftan ties with a bow at the back of the neck that allow the neckline to be drawn closer or styled loose. The back is also a v neckline and can be drawn in to lift the neckline and tied in a bow. The deep v neckline and deep v back is designed to flatter many dress sizes as the shoulders can be drawn in for both petite and larger sizes as the back has fine black silk ties, decorated with a crystal bead that can be tied in a bow and hangs down at the back. The v-back sits just above the swimwear or bra line.  The length of the silk maxi kaftan dress is 130cm from shoulder to hem. We have added a side split of 30cm, approximately 12inches on either side making it easier to walk in, which allows the body of the skirt to flow and sway. The hemline is left plain so you can alter to your required length and fit. You can also wear this silk maxi kaftan as a dress. One size truly fits many sizes as the waistband is softly elasticated, so the body drapes beautifully.

We have styled this beautiful silk kaftan dress over a black bikini to show that the black is semi sheer as the black bikini stands out against the model’s skin tone. Daytime, you can of course wear any colour swimwear under this black silk maxi kaftan dress. For sun downer cocktails and drinks, changed into a high waisted black bikini or black swimsuit.
