What inspired you to create new colours each season?
Inspired by the fashion trends for 2025, our new dress colour echoes the aqua colours of beautiful oceans and waves. This serene aqua tone is making waves on the designer runways and has been listed as a key fashion trend for 2025 also in 2026, so it seemed the most natural colour to choose for our new Santorini silk maxi dress. Aqua, with its calming and ethereal qualities, has always played a large role in our luxury resort wear collection. Every season you will see shades of aqua in silk dresses to wear on holiday as we truly believe there is a shade to suit everyone. Aqua embodies a sense of tranquillity and this delicate shade of blue green evokes images of crystal-clear waters and endless skies, transporting you to paradise. Lined from the neck to mid-thigh, we have not lined the dress fully as the eight metres of silk georgette hangs beautifully creating a semi sheer lower leg. This new aqua colour of dress is hand dyed using an ombre dip dyed graduated affect.
Can you explain the fit of the Santorini silk maxi dresses ?
Santorini silk maxi dresses have a shaped upper dress body lined with white microfibre from the neckline to mid-thigh. From the upper waist the dress shape is loose and flared. If you are larger bust, we suggest going up a size. The waist and upper body is a slim fit and the dress gradually flares out from the upper waist. If you carry weight on your abdomen this may not be the style for you. You may prefer to go up a size for a looser fit. If the dress is too long for you, the lower tier hemline can be altered as we leave the hemline without embellishment. For warm summer nights we suggest wearing with a smooth skin tone strapless bra and skin tone briefs, the dress is not see though however the lining sits comfortable over smooth fabric against your skin. The shape of the dress is designed to be loose and floaty and skim over the hips.
Our lovely model wearing the Aqua Santorini dress, is tall. She is wearing a size small, she is size UK8 to 10 which is USA4 to 6 and 5ft10 175cm tall. The Standard dress length from armpit seam to hemline is 120cm or 47inches. The dress lining in white finishes at the first ruffle, the lining is dyed to match the dress. Can you wear the Santorini dress to a wedding ?
Wearing the Santorini silk dress, you will be the best dressed guest on any occasion such as a garden party or a summer wedding at home or abroad. For a daytime wedding abroad or a beach wedding, wear with pale gladiator sandals or wedges for a relaxed look. Style with silver or gold statement earrings, layered bangles and matching stylish raffia or woven clutch bag. The aqua tone can be worn with either silver or gold accessories depending on your preferred look. In fact, it does not really need any jewellery, the effortless floaty dress says it all.
